A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National Highways England.

These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it's best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.

Here’s a list of all of the closures from Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14 on Sussex's main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, April 12

M23

On the northbound and southbound ways of the M23 there will be a carriageway closure between the exit slip road and entry slip road at Junction 8.

This is so drainage works can take place, which will last from 11pm on Friday until 5.30am on Saturday.

A27

In both directions on the A27 there will be a carriageway closure from Cophall roundabout to Pevensey roundabout between 8pm and 6am.

Meanwhile, on the eastbound way, there will be a carriageway closure from Bognor Road roundabout to Portfield roundabout, also from 8pm to 6am.

Finally, on the eastbound way from Manor Road roundabout to Adur there will be a carriageway closure from 9pm to 6am.
